Meet us

Dr Cecilia Erasmus
Dr Cecilia Erasmus is a Registered Counsellor with the HPCSA, bringing over sixteen years of experience in supporting high school students’ emotional well-being, academic growth, and personal development. Her greatest passion lies in walking alongside young people as they navigate the daily challenges of growing up, while equipping them with resilience, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence.
She offers a comprehensive suite of career assessments—including Aptitude, Personality, Work Values, and Holland Code tests—to help learners identify their strengths and ambitions. With tailored one-on-one and group sessions, she supports students and their families in career decisions, subject choices, and university applications both locally and internationally.
Her role within Aligned: Careers | Mind | Life is to ensure learners are not only emotionally supported but also given practical tools to align their minds, lives, and careers. By combining counselling expertise with the project’s digital platform and workshops, she contributes to breaking cycles of poverty and guiding learners toward sustainable futures.
Having worked across multicultural contexts—including international school counselling in Vietnam, lecturing in Belgium, and travelling to more than 18 countries—she brings a global perspective to Aligned. She also holds a PhD in Afrikaans & Dutch linguistics, is a trained singer and performer, and believes deeply in the power of language and education as tools for transformation.
Luyanda Luxolo Fodo
Luyanda Luxolo Fodo is a qualified geologist, experienced management consultant, and strategic leader, currently serving as the Chairperson of Aligned, a South African non-profit organisation focused on career guidance, professional development, and youth empowerment. With a career that began in 2014, he has gained extensive hands-on experience in the coal mining sector and maintains active business interests across the mining value chain.
He is also the Founder and CEO of Viable Vision, a company dedicated to unlocking market constraints and helping organisations optimise operations using the Theory of Constraints (TOC) principles. A passionate advocate of TOC, Luyanda contributes to the TOCICO (Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization), where he serves on the Professional Development Committee, supporting the design of learning pathways that build individual capability and advance the TOC body of knowledge globally.
His leadership roles at both Aligned and TOCICO reflect a shared commitment: enabling people and organisations to reach their full potential. At Aligned, he helps drive the development of tools that offer psychological insights and career planning support to young people.
Luyanda brings a unique blend of technical, strategic, and developmental insight—bridging work in mining, systems thinking (TOC), and human capital development (Continuous improvement).

Rozanne’s current focus is the development of Aligned: Careers | Mind | Life, a pioneering project that applies the Theory of Constraints to help learners align their minds, lives, and careers.
